Barrel Horse News Pro Tips By Jane Melby
Question: I have trained my barrel horse myself and I can ride him in practice just fine without making mistakes. However, when I get to a show I clam up a little and forget to turn him at the first barrel. I use my lead rein or neck rein. I don't lift or pull back to my pocket. I do it right everytime in the practice, but not in competition. What are some things I can do at shows to remember to turn correctly?
